This module builds awareness about “Phishing”, a scam to steal private information using emails. Students learn how to protect against phishing using Anti-phishing games. The module is intended for students of all majors.

Cryptography

Answers (instructor access only)
This module addresses the core security principles of Confidentiality, Availability and Trust (CAT), by letting students know the consequences of unencrypted data when sent over the network or stored on a hard drive/ removable media. Students learn how to encrypt personal files, wireless network data, sensitive emails and transactions over the Internet. The module is intended for students of all majors.

Social Networking Security

This module addresses the core security principles of Confidentiality, Availability and Trust (CAT), by stepping students through a series of exercises that determine how private the information they provide on popular social networking sites actually is. The module is intended for students of all majors and should be done with a partner.
